The President’s Corner

Hello and a warm welcome from CSI Greenville!

This is my first president’s letter for the Greenville chapter. I am glad you found your way here. I want to start this letter acknowledging the previous board for all their hard work in a very challenging environment over the past two years.  There was a lot of hard work that went into keeping the continuing education credits flowing during the pandemic.  The spec fair, while reduced in size to keep our architects and vendors safe, was still very popular in the architectural community.  Lastly, the entire organization kept working to expand our membership in spite of the challenges everyone faced over the past two years.  Thank you Mike, Zach, Jane Ann, Catherine, and Clay for all you did to keep this chapter moving forward while facing incredibly strong headwinds.

As you can imagine, the previous board was ready to pass the reins on to a new board.  Some of the previous board members are still participating but there are plenty of new faces in the board room. Even though we find ourselves in the middle of a calendar year, there are many new beginnings as we move into fall.  Best of luck to the children (and their parents 😉) headed back to the classroom.  Our new board already started to work on some great programming in July with our planning meeting for Fiscal Year 2023.  We brainstormed how we can be an even better resource to the A/E/C community.  I can’t wait for the first presentation of the new fiscal year with “Who Really Runs Your Business” with Hal Gaymon, owner of Integrity Business Advisors on September 9th.  We will have more exciting news and information about the programs, tours, and an expanded Spec Fair to share soon so keep checking back here for all the details.

We are always striving to make this organization the best it can be but we can’t do it alone.  We welcome your ideas or energy as a volunteer.  We look forward to seeing you at one of the upcoming events.
